Life's Walk
I walk the lonely paths that
Seem to find their ways
To the soles of my feet.
Empty paths that
Wind here and there
Amongst the greenery and
Devastation that seems to plague
The empty streets
Just as the morning dawn arises to
Find its way out of the hole it crawled into
Late at night
With the moon shinning
It's silvery glow.
I felt a memory go by last night it was filled with conflict and hate.
I had a dream the other night filled with laughter and sorrow. I saw a
bird this morning Singing it's sweet praises of the day. I saw a shark
this afternoon devouring everything in its path. I heard a song last
night filled with pain. I heard you laugh today, a laugh that tried to
hide the sorrow and pain that you felt. I heard you cry tonight about
the love that you thought you once had, but is now somehow gone.
Gently
Ever so slowly
Wishing
Dreaming
Wanting
I close my eyes to see a familiar face
One I have known for what seems
Like an eternity
He gently touches my cheek with
The soft back of his hand
Causing me to only wish he were
Closer
So that I may inhale the sweet
Smell of him
I open my eyes only to find myself
Alone and in my room
A smell that is so distant
And yet so close
Fills the room
I sit in isolation
Taking in the smell
Of the one I now know
To be mine
The Battlefield Of Life
In this warm darkness
Nothing grows
Nothing
is changed
Cool peace claims its place
On the silent board
The queen sleeps
Her wooden dreams
Before the pretentious eyes
Of the treasonous bishops
And knights
The martyr
With blind eyes
Tries to seduce
The spider so that
With its infinite
threads
May he concede the virtue
Of memory
The soliers marching along
Tell each other of small tragedies
And of great deeds
Of when they heroically
Annihilated a man
Obtaining by this the laurel
And the ash of the defeated
There are two sides
Black and white
Awaiting for the challenge
That will unchain the battle
The battle seems to forever rage on in the hearts of many. They never
seem to give up dispite the ever growing death of what they seem to
search for. They walk around and glance at everyone they pass by.
Wishing. Hoping. Dreaming. They stop and look trying to decide on what
it is that they search for. Could it be the wisp of hair that flies
about in the morning wind? The way he stands close to you at first then
notices that you are looking at him curiously? These are things that we
live with everyday. Things that we think about and wonder. The fight
shall remain, always and forever. The dreams may never fade, but the
feeling will.
The Dreams of Man
These nights are
Filled with a deep dread
That cannot be described
There is something deep
In my mind and it
Yearns to be set free
I see a figure before me
As horror fills my lungs
His dark hair is seen
Through the faint light
Filling my room
I hold the blankets
To me and wait
For the horror to
Begin once more
As she stood upon the cold lonely hill
She saw every shooting star appear
Then disappear
Shooting stars that seemed to reflect
Her life
Her dreams
Everything she ever wanted
She wraps her arms around herself in the
Coming bitter cold
That has seemed to found its way
Into her heart
And soul
Silence
I stood before you shivering in the bitter coldness
Although I was not alone
I felt as if I was
I gazed at you with grey blue eyes
You searched my face
For some kind of sign
A sign I could not give you
You touched my face smiling
Hope in your eyes
I closed my eyes and did
Nothing else
You took your hand away and sighed
I opened my eyes and looked at you again
Your eyes, pleading for me to say something
Began to tear up with sadness
You opened your mouth and whispered
'Do you love me?'
I closed my eyes once more a solemn
Tear falling
I whispered ever so gently
'Con todo mi corazon, mi amor.'
'Con todo mi ser.'
Then I turned and walked away into
The oncoming darkness
Of my lonesome heart
Challenge
We met the challenge
We've always had to be
In out life.
What with a fair
Amount of love and idiots,
You edge any age
Before you have the road
Paved to longevity
A need.
Enigma Within
I stand upon the cold ground
For I am the sting of
Dark blue ice
I am the one that
No one ever sees
Hiding behind a veil
Of deep purple in the night sky
I am a lone wolf
That howls at the
Bright round moon
I am the song that
Everyone doesn't quite hear
I am the secret of the never-ending
silence about you
I am the fair flower in everlasting bloom
I sing the wind into air
And the air into the quick winds
I am the string of violet before
A sun set
I am all the riddles of the world
Save one
------------------------------------------------------------
Dreams filled with wanting
Nights filled with pain
I walk alone in the moonlight
Eyes shining like blue pools
Under a mask of deep red
I turn to see a stranger
Walking towards me
I smile as I see him
Welcoming his embrace
